Igor Labaien – Individual trainer

Born in San Sebastián in the Basque Country in the spring of 1978, Igor Labaien moved to Catalonia in his early 20s to study. It was there, in Barcelona, that he began his coaching career in professional football, initially with Espanyol’s youth teams. He subsequently held various other roles within the sporting department of the Spanish top-flight club. Most recently, Labaien spent two and a half years as a personal trainer for the first-team squad. After more than twelve years at Espanyol Barcelona, alongside ten years as part of the coaching staff for the Andorra national team, he moved to Bayer 04 in the summer of 2026.
