After completing his undergraduate studies and earning his doctorate at the renowned Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Tsironis completed his residency in orthopedics and trauma surgery at Vivantes Klinikum in Berlin-Friedrichshain. Between 2017 and 2019, he took his first steps as a team physician in professional soccer—also in Berlin, with the youth team of Hertha BSC.

In 2021, he finally took over as head of the medical department at SV Werder Bremen, before moving to the top Austrian club FC Red Bull Salzburg in 2025. In addition to his club duties, Tsironis also served as team physician for the junior women’s divisions of the German Hockey Federation (DHB) and the German Football Association (DFB) between 2017 and 2024. Since the 2026/27 season, he has been back in the Bundesliga as the team doctor for Bayer 04’s men’s first team.
