Marcel Daum – assistant coach analysis

Marcel Daum started as Bayer 04's chief analyst in the 2018/19 season. In the meantime, the son of former Bayer 04 coach Christoph Daum works closely with the coaching team as co-coach analysis. Daum was a big fan of the Werkself as a child, studied management consulting in Cologne and worked for Eintracht Frankfurt, among others, for eight years before his time in Leverkusen.

Today, he is considered one of the best analysts in the league and is convinced that things will move more and more in the direction of data analysis in the future. "It will also be important for us to become more and more flexible and dynamic, to react faster and faster to tactical changes," Daum emphasises.
