Netiquette for  bayer 04 Social Media channels  & Live streams

Dear Bayer 04 community,

We look forward to a lively and constructive exchange in our comments columns and on our live streams. Always remember you are interacting with real people. Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.

This netiquette is designed communicate our rules clearly and transparently. It applies to everybody who uses the comment functions on the channels on our social media platforms or who visits our live streams. These rules are to be understood regardless of platform rules.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen is currently on the following platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Spotify, Twitch, Snapchat and YouTube. Our aim is to establish a space for dialogue for everything relating to our club, the Werkself and the passion for fantastic football under the Cross. You can also get involved with our live streams via the chat function. The following rules apply here with us to enable constructive and respectful dialogue:

• Respect and courtesy: Treat all members of the community with respect and courtesy. Personal attacks, insults or disparaging comments are not allowed and will be removed.
• No discrimination: Comments that contain discriminatory, racist, homophobic, sexist, antireligious content, or that glorify violence or other insulting comments will be deleted and may be subject to criminal proceedings.
• On topic: Ensure your contributions are clearly related to the subject under discussion. Advertising, spam and false assertions will be removed.
• Copyright: Comply with copyright and attribute third party quotes. Link to the original source without publishing complete articles from other sites.
• Privacy: Respect the privacy of all participants. Do not publish private information about yourself or others. Respect the privacy of all participants.
• Consequences of infringing rules: Users who contravene this netiquette can – in addition to the removal of their contributions – be blocked and excluded from our platforms and events.

We lay great value on your opinions and look forward to your contributions to strengthen our black and red community and to invigorate the love for the club. The Werkself thrives on emotions but remains fair and respectful. Our values are open-mindedness, fairness, respect and passion – that is also reflected in our club strategy that is based on eagerness to succeed, quality, innovation, affinity and courage. The way we support the team at the stadium and together with other fans experience joy at a good game is the way we want to be on the Internet. Ask yourself when posting: Would you behave in exactly the same way to the person next to you at the stadium?

We see our accounts as part of our club. We therefore reserve the right to hide or delete comments and to permanently exclude trolls. We respect your freedom of opinion but are not bound to give opinions visibility that openly conflict with our values or are aimed at provoking or attacking our fans or players.
