The international fixture between Ukraine and Italy is being hosted by the Ukrainian Football Association and not Bayer 04. The capacity of the BayArena is 30,210. For European and international matches the capacity is reduced to 29,412 made up exclusively of seating. The BayArena opens two hours before kick-off.
Match tickets entitle fans to use the local transport network ÖPNV (VRS and VRR) free of charge on the day of the game. Bayer 04 also offer a shuttle bus service from the Kurtekotten car park. Additional buses from other districts have a special timetable. Further information can be found on the wupsi website.
Leverkusen Mitte station is back in service although is not fully accessible. Taking S-Bahn 6 from the direction of Cologne/Düsseldorf to Chempark is recommended to connect with shuttle buses to the BayArena. All buses run by the transport operators can be accessed by wheelchair.
Snacks and drinks can be paid for using Girocard and credit cards (Visa or MasterCard) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
From the 2023/24 season there has also been a vegetarian offer at the Veggie Corner. This is in the north-east section of the BayArena.
This season there are fast lanes at certain kiosks on the lower level. Here you can buy drinks and return deposit mugs. These sales points are signposted accordingly. These mugs can also be deposited as donations at the deposit bins for a good cause.
The beer garden in the north-west area of the BayArena is open.
Large bags and rucksacks are not permitted. All objects bigger than A4 size cannot be taken into the BayArena. Items can be left at the OST, WEST AND GAST service points for one euro in cash. The drop-off points open two hours before kick-off and close 45 minutes after the end of the game.
Home-made signs and placards can be taken into the BayArena. But they must not be in bigger than A3 size due to the relevant fire prevention measures. Security will confiscate signs and placards that exceed that size on entry.
The Schwadbud in the East Stand at the BayArena is not open for the international between Ukraine and Italy. Further information and updates on the Schwadbud are available HERE.
The Ukrainian Football Association is offering 'lap tickets' (tickets without a specific seat) for children up to the age of six. They can be collected on the day of the match from the service centres OST, WEST and GAST. A ‘lap ticket’ is required for the youngest fans to enter the BayArena.
The ticket offices at the service points OST, WEST and GAST open two hours before kick-off. Ticket upgrades can also be made here. In addition, tickets are available to buy here providing the BayArena is not sold out.
Tickets for the international are not available on the Bayer 04 app. They cannot be transferred to the app as is the case for Bayer 04 home games. There is nothing to prevent transfer of print@home-tickets or mobile tickets providing they have been bought from Bayer 04. The ticket platform mTicket ticket does not provide mobile tickets.
