Performance Centre: Conradi in new function, Özcan U19 goalkeeping coach
Jan Conradi, who previously trained Bayer 04 U19 goalkeepers, will now strengthen the team at the Bayer 04 coaching academy led by Keld Bordinggaard in the 2021/22 season.
In his new function, the 32-year-old will drive forward the training of goalkeepers throughout the Performance Centre in terms of coordination, guiding principles and philosophy and also provide a boost to goalkeeper training in the youth section. Within this new field of activity, Conradi will also be practically involved in the development and foundation areas at Kurtekotten.
Özcan: Experience from 17 years of professional football
Ramazan Özcan takes over as the Bayer 04 U19 goalkeeping coach. The long-standing Werkself player was previously responsible for goalkeeping training for the U14 and U15 teams after the end of his playing career.
The 37-year-old will now bring his 17 years of experience in professional football to the oldest youth team at the Werkself in the new season and provide fine tuning for the U19 goalkeepers ahead of the step up to the senior squad.

Bayer 04 loan youth striker Stepanov to Nürnberg
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have agreed to loan U19 striker Artem Stepanov to FC Nürnberg, currently tenth in Bundesliga 2, for the 2025/26 season. The Ukrainian centre-forward is set to gain match practice at a high level under the guidance of FCN coach and World Cup winner Miroslav Klose. The loan is due to run for twelve months.
