The Bayer 04 Women's team coaches remain in place: The Werkself have extended the contract with assistant coach Remzi Kahraman by two years to 2027. The 30-year-old will continue to assist head coach Roberto Pätzold along with fellow assistant coach Friederike Mehring.

"We are very happy with Remzi's work. His expertise and his extensive network are very valuable for our development," said Achim Feifel, sporting director of the Bayer 04 Women: "He also makes an important contribution to the good atmosphere in the team with his empathetic approach."

Kahraman started with the Leverkusen Women in the autumn of 2023 initially as an individual coach as well as a scout. He has been an assistant coach since the summer of 2024. The holder of a UEFA A licence has previously worked at Eintracht Frankfurt, VfL Wolfsburg and Mainz 05.

"The success on the pitch in our record season and the development of the whole club have shown me how much we can achieve together," said Kahraman: "I can also continue to develop very well here at the club thanks to the confidence shown by Achim Feifel and thanks to the very positive and always friendly cooperation amongst the coaching staff around Roberto Pätzold."
