Women: Assistant coach Remzi Kahraman leaves Bayer 04

“Remzi has greatly enriched our coaching staff, not only through his expertise and extensive network, but also through his sympathetic approach,” Bayer 04 Women sporting director Achim Feifel said. “When he approached us with his wish to take up the offer, we didn’t want to stand in his way. We wish him all the best for the future.”

Kahraman initially supported the Leverkusen women’s team from autumn 2023 as a personal trainer and scout, and became assistant coach in summer 2024. Prior to that, the holder of a UEFA A coaching licence had worked for clubs including Eintracht Frankfurt, VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FSV Mainz 05.

“I find it incredibly difficult to say goodbye after such a rewarding time, during which I felt I've been able to develop enormously, thanks above all to the support of Linda Schöttler, Thomas Eichin and, in particular, Roberto Pätzold and Achim Feifel,” Kahraman said. “I ve always thoroughly enjoyed working with them, and I look back with deep pride on the fantastic progress we've made over the last few years. I will cherish all these wonderful moments in my heart forever.”
