Vanessa Haim signs for Bayer 04

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed another striker ahead of the start of the training camp in Katowice. Vanessa Haim has joined Leverkusen from FC Nürnberg. The 27-year-old has penned a contract to 2026 and will fly out to Poland on Monday together with the Bayer 04 Women’s squad.

"We are happy to have signed a feisty, fast and skilled striker. Vanessa is an experienced player, is impressive with good runs into spaces in the opposition defence and has already demonstrated her goal threat in the Bundesliga at Nürnberg," said Achim Feifel, Bayer 04 Women's team sporting director.

Haim, born in Landsberg, joined newly promoted Nürnberg last summer after five years with the second division outfit FC Ingolstadt. She scored five of the 16 goals scored by FC Nürnberg in 20 top-flight appearances.

"The experience of my first season in the Bundesliga is really valuable after the big change from the second division. I want to build on that here at Bayer 04," said Haim: "It's important for me to develop and above all help the team to achieve our targets with my pace."
