The duo of centre-back Claudia Wenger and striker Valentina Mädl, signed from SKN St. Pölten in the summer, will play two friendlies with the Austria team in the Spanish province of Cádiz. Austria first face Finland, followed four days later by Ukraine. The 19-year-old forward Mädl will be making her debut in an Austrian jersey.
The Germany U23 team will play two more matches in the international round of matches for their age group with the sextet Estrella Merino Gonzalez, Julia Mickenhagen, Katharina Piljic, Loreen Bender, Selina Ostermeier and Sofie Zdebel in the squad. Their first game is against the Portugal U23s at the Estádio Dr Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria, before head coach Michael Urbansky's team take on France four days later at the Stadion am Brentanobad in Frankfurt. In Bender, Ostermeier and Zdebel, three Leverkusen players return to the U23 squad after last appearing for the Germany in April. In addition, Paulina Bartz is on standby.

Amy Wrigge will play three games with the Germany U19s in the upcoming U19 European Championship qualifiers. In the first three matches in qualifying Group A2, the team coached by Melanie Behringer will face Belgium, followed by games against the Faroe Islands and Spain. All three matches will be played in Duisburg. Ida Daedelow, who was also initially nominated, had to dop out due to illness.
Germany will have to play the final two matches of the UEFA Women's Nations League against Spain without Carlotta Wamser. The 22-year-old wing back, who played the full game in the semi-finals against France last month, is still sidelined due to an injury. Merino Gonzalez, recently awarded the Fritz Walter Silver Medal, is another Leverkusen player who has been called up to the senior international duty for the first time.
