“Synne has enriched the team not just on the pitch but also with her great determination. She had to cope with several setbacks due to injury during her time with us. But she fought her way back again and again,” said Achim Feifel, sporting director of the Bayer 04 Women: “We wish her all the best for her return to Norway.”
The 27-time Norway international joined Bayer Leverkusen from Rosenborg in 2023. She has made 31 appearances on the flanks in attack and defence and has scored two goals. Skinnes Hansen was sidelined for several months this season due a torn thigh ligament.
“I really felt at home from the first day here in Leverkusen and I got to know lots of great people. I’m very proud to have been able to represent this club,” said Skinnes Hansen: “Now it’s time for me to move on but I will continue to follow the team’s progress.”
The Ivory Coast international Odilon Kossounou has completed the move from Bayer 04 Leverkusen to top-flight Italian club Atalanta. The Champions League participants from Lombardy took up the option to buy the 1.91 metre central defender who went out on loan to Atalanta at the start of the 2024/25 season.
