Since her transfer within the Austrian Bundesliga from USV Neulengbach to St. Pölten, Wenger has won the double of the Austrian league title and ÖFB Women's Cup four times in succession since 2022. Born in Steyr, she made 79 appearances for St. Pölten, including 14 in the Champions League, and scored three goals along the way. She has made eight international appearances for Austria so far.
"I had a really good feeling from the start and that was confirmed again and again during the discussions. Now I'd like to take the next step in my career here in Leverkusen," said Wenger: "I'm very much looking forward to the new season and I'd like to build on a very impressive last twelve months with the team."
