Bayer 04 agree new deal with Delice Boboy to 2026

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have again sealed a long-term contract with another home-grown talent. A few weeks after her Bundesliga debut, striker Delice Boboy has agreed a one-year extension to her contract to 2026.

"We are happy that Delice sees her future here with us. She worked hard for her debut with the dynamism and a desire to score," said Achim Feifel, sporting director of the Bayer 04 Women's team: "We see great potential for her to continue her development here with us and get more minutes."

17-year-old Boboy, part of the Leverkusen Bundesliga squad since last season, played her first game in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga against Eintracht Frankfurt (2-2) in the middle of September. She made her debut a week before in the second round of the DFB Pokal away to Regional League side Karlsruher SC (2-0). Boboy, at Bayer 04 since playing for the U13 team, signed her first professional contract in the summer of 2023. In the season before that, she played a big part in winning the U17 German championships with 21 goals for the Leverkusen U17 team in that campaign.

"I've been at Bayer 04 for many years and enjoyed every one of them. It's an honour for me to continue this chapter and I'm grateful for the confidence shown in me," said Boboy: "I want more after my debut in my second year as a professional player. I hope a lot of games will follow."
