Women: Klink and Barth agree new deals
A clear commitment that sends out a signal: Anna Klink and Merle Barth have agreed contract extensions at Bayer 04 Women – regardless of the division the team under coach Verena Hagedorn are in next season.
"We are happy Anna and Merle have decided to stay at Bayer 04," said Linda Peckhaus, director of the Women's section.
Anna Klink (22) and Merle Barth, who celebrated her 23rd birthday on Friday, progressed through the youth teams at Bayer 04 and have been at the club since 2009. Both are regulars in the Bundesliga team with Klink in goal and Barth as a versatile player in defence, midfield and attack. On Sunday, the duo will be in the Leverkusen side in Sinsheim looking to pick up points against TSG Hoffenheim in the battle to stay in the top division of the Allianz Women's Bundesliga.

Bayer 04 player Carlotta Wamser is part of a VIP group joining together for the launch of the DFB campaign Punktespiel 2.0. After seven days in Rieden, Bavaria, Bayer 04 Women returned to Leverkusen on Saturday. Lively friendly against Wolfsburg: Women end training camp with narrow defeat
There was an intensive encounter on the penultimate day of the Bayer 04 Women's training camp: The team led by coach Roberto Pätzold suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat after 120 minutes against the Bundesliga runners-up VfL Wolfsburg. In front of a lively crowd of 1,225 spectators at the Stadion Grüne Au in Hof , Kristin Kögel (49') and Cornelia Kramer (51') gave the Werkself the lead. The two Bundesliga teams play their friendly in phases of 45, 30 and 45 minutes.

Women: Tickets on sale for home games against Union Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt
Tickets are now on open sale for the first two Bundesliga home games for the Werkself at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium. A week after the season opener away to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, the Leverkusen Women play newly promoted Union Berlin on Monday, 15 September (18:00 CEST).
