The Leverkusener Tafel has been supporting more than 5,000 needy citizens of Leverkusen by handing out food for more than 20 years. The demand in these times is also enormously high due to the increased cost of food. Bayer 04 is therefore asking all fans to take part in the campaign at the home game against St. Pauli and contribute food.
Bayer 04 will be accepting donations ahead of the game at the collection points in front of Block A (south-east) and Blocks E and F (north-west) from the time the stadium opens at 1.30pm until kick-off at 3.30pm. The foodbank is primarily asking for non-perishable food and hygiene articles. The following items are urgently needed:
Tobacco products, alcohol, sweets and glass containers are not required.
In addition to donations of food, the foodbank can also be supported financially. Money boxes are available at the collection points.
If you have any further questions about the campaign, you can contact us by e-mail (soziales@bayer04.de) or by telephone (+49 (0)214 8660 273). Bayer 04 would like to thank you in advance for your active support and food donations!
If you can't make it to the BayArena on Saturday or would like to hand in your donation on another day, you can do so from now until 9 December in the new Bayer 04 Fanwelt to the south of the BayArena. Bayer 04 would like to thank you in advance for your active support and food donations!

Freiburg’s defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend left them two places but a whole 10 points behind Bayer 04. Their results in general may be mixed, but Julian Schuster’s side are a force to be reckoned with at home, where they have earned 24 of their 33 points. Leverkusen may choose to look for the aerial route if they’re to get the better of their hosts, who have conceded more headed goals than any other team. Here’s all you need to know ahead of Saturday afternoon’s game in our matchday news.
