Donate food to Leverkusen Foodbank before St. Pauli game

Bayer 04 welcome St. Pauli to the BayArena in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with the club using the game to call for fans to donate food to the Leverkusen Foodbank.

The Leverkusener Tafel has been supporting more than 5,000 needy citizens of Leverkusen by handing out food for more than 20 years. The demand in these times is also enormously high due to the increased cost of food. Bayer 04 is therefore asking all fans to take part in the campaign at the home game against St. Pauli and contribute food.

Bayer 04 will be accepting donations ahead of the game at the collection points in front of Block A (south-east) and Blocks E and F (north-west) from the time the stadium opens at 1.30pm until kick-off at 3.30pm. The foodbank is primarily asking for non-perishable food and hygiene articles. The following items are urgently needed:

  • Tinned vegetables of all kinds, such as string beans, runner beans, broad beans, green beans, white beans, sauerkraut, red cabbage, kale, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, strained tomatoes, olives (including small tins), mushrooms, etc.
  • Tinned fruit of all kinds
  • Ready-made soups in bags or tins of all kinds
  • Tinned fish, such as herring in tomato sauce, herring in mustard sauce, tuna etc.
  • Pasta, flour, rice, sugar, pearl barley, icing sugar, semolina, salt, corn semolina, pudding powder, honey
  • Hygiene articles of all kinds, such as toothpaste or toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo, tissues, monthly hygiene articles, disposable razors or shaving cream, soap or care products

Tobacco products, alcohol, sweets and glass containers are not required.

In addition to donations of food, the foodbank can also be supported financially. Money boxes are available at the collection points.

If you have any further questions about the campaign, you can contact us by e-mail (soziales@bayer04.de) or by telephone (+49 (0)214 8660 273). Bayer 04 would like to thank you in advance for your active support and food donations!

Donate at the Fanwelt till 9 December

If you can't make it to the BayArena on Saturday or would like to hand in your donation on another day, you can do so from now until 9 December in the new Bayer 04 Fanwelt to the south of the BayArena. Bayer 04 would like to thank you in advance for your active support and food donations!
