Bayer 04 at Kids Clubs AGM
Kids Clubs are a matter of course in the Bundesliga these days. 32 clubs from the Bundesliga and the second division offer their youngest fans a special range of activities in their Kids Club. Bayer 04 were also there.
The German Football League (DFL) invited the representatives of the Kids Clubs to Dresden for a general meeting to build on the current success and strengthen the dialogue between the Bundesliga clubs.
Bayer 04 were also represented at the meeting as the significance of the commitment to the youngest members has continually grown over the past few years due to a great response. It demonstrates that professional care and special offers are extremely important for young football fans.
That is why many clubs, including Bayer 04, are working on this to get more children interested in football and encouraging them to treat each other with respect. The main focus is to convey common targets and values to the young fans that are also important beyond football. The general meeting provided an ideal opportunity for discussion that was eagerly taken up by everybody involved with the aim of continuing with the positive development of Kids Clubs over the recent past.

U17 EUROS: Leverkusen trio in Germany U17 squad
Germany U17 head coach Marc Meister has called up three Bayer 04 youth players for the forthcoming UEFA U17 European Championship. The tournament involving eight teams runs from 19 May to 1 June in Albania.

2-2 in Freiburg – Tah rescues run late on
Bayer 04 have now gone 33 Bundesliga away games in succession without defeat and thereby equalled the record set by Bayern Munich: Jonathan Tah netted the equaliser at 2-2 in added time away to SC Freiburg on his 400th appearance for the Werkself. SCF took a 2-0 lead with a strike from Maximilian Eggestein (44') and a Piero Hincapie own goal (48') before Florian Wirtz pulled a goal back on 82 minutes.
