U14 Youth Cup: Borussia Dortmund v Bayer 04 U14 0-5
The top match for the U14s away to second-placed Borussia Dortmund was closer than the result suggests. "Above all, it was an evenly balanced game in the first half played at a top level," praise coach Mirko Casper. The Leverkusen lads made the livelier start and went ahead from a corner through Aaron Tshimuanga on 21 minutes. Ben Klefisch rounded off a great solo run by setting up Emrehan Gedikli to make it 2-0 on 37 minutes.
On the back of the 2-0 lead, the U14s played with complete freedom in the second half and their quality on the pitch came through. Another goal from Tshimuanga (47') and a brace from Gedikli (49', 80') rounded off the scoring produce a 5-0 victory. "A great performance in a great game," declared Casper his team have extended their lead over Dortmund.
U14 Youth Cup: Arminia Bielefeld v Bayer 04 U14 0-5
The U14s then produced a less dynamic but equally superior performance away to Armenia Bielefeld. "But overall, the team did a great job," was the mild assessment of coach Casper.
Aaron Tshimuanga, Emrehan Gedikli (two each) plus Ben Klefisch scored the goals in a clear 5-0 win in East West failure. The U14s have 40 points from 14 games with 60 goals for and six against and are now 11 points ahead of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the U14 Youth Cup.
U15 Regional League: SC Paderborn v Bayer 04 U15 1-0
The U15s suffered their seventh defeat of the season in a tough game away to Paderborn and now slip behind VfL Bochum into fifth place.
An unlucky own goal at the start of the second half sealed the 1-0 reverse. The visitors from Leverkusen fought to the end against a passionate Paderborn side in search of an equaliser but that was not to be on this day

It was a disappointing night in Athens: The Werkself lost 2-0 away to Olympiacos on Matchday 7 in the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign. In a match that was intense and fiery from the outset, the high-pressing home side made the better start and took the lead through Costinha on two minutes. Although the Werkself had a number of chances to equalise, the clinical Greek side increased the lead to 2-0 shortly before half-time (45+1’). In the second half, Leverkusen once again gave their all and showed total commitment but, despite their best efforts, the Black and Reds were unable to break down the Olympiacos defence on the night.
