Around 100 children from the Bayer 04 soccer School made their way to the Media Centre at the BayArena to get to know their new superstar. The place where press conferences are held at home games in Leverkusen provided a stage for Volland to answer questions from camp participants  in a friendly manner including some personal  ones.

They obviously wanted to know what it's like to go on PlayStation and play as yourself and, in reality, what it's like to play regularly in front of 30,000 people. Kevin Volland took time out for each individual question  and answered them in the same way the older fans saw him perform on the training ground earlier on: open and not at all aloof. Following the round of questions, he posed for a selfie with every child from the Soccer School and was busy signing autographs.

As so often in recent years, meeting a Werkself pro has been a highlight of the Bayer 04 Soccer School holiday camp. The other activities during the week were also very worthwhile and they ensured the participants had a very exciting time. The children received professional training and gained many behind-the-scene insights at a Bundesliga club. they were looked after by qualified coaches and food and drink and kit were also provided.
