Since 2017/18, Blagojević has made 73 appearances for SC Sand and scored ten goals along the way. The midfielder has regularly been in the Serbia Women's team squad since 2014. For the 24-year-old, the move in the summer is "the absolute right and logical next step" in her career. She follows top scorer Milena Nikolic to the Werkself who also came from the team in eleventh place in 2019.
"I'm happy to be playing alongside Milena again – we work really well together on the pitch," said the Serbian and she is looking forward to a successful time at Leverkusen: "Leverkusen have shown this season that they can play very good football and deserve to be where they are in the table. A goalkeeping era is coming to an end for Bayer 04 Women, with Friederike Repohl retiring when her contract expires at the end of the season.
