
The new campaign starts on Friday 4 September with the opening match between current double winners VfL Wolfsburg and SGS Essen. The kick-off times for the other matches on the first two matchdays will be announced at the start of August. The final match details for the remaining matchdays will be presented in stages.
The Werkself Women end the first half of the season with a home game against SC Sand on 13 December. After matchday 13 on the following weekend (20 December), the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga takes a winter break until the middle of February. The Bayer 04 Women will end the season at SC Sand on 13 June.
“All arrangements contained in the DFB framework fixture list for 2020/2021 are subject to local authority approval of matches being played. Adjustments for individual competitions based on increased pandemic restrictions or changes in control orders remain a possibility,” read the statement on DFB.de.

Sandwiched between their UEFA Champions League knockout play-off tie against Olympiacos, Bayer 04 return to Bundesliga action on Saturday with a trip to Union Berlin (kick-off: 15:30 CET). It’s a fixture of contrasting styles, with Leverkusen preferring to control the play while Union look to remain compact and counter. It took exactly 60 minutes for the Werkself to take the lead through a perfectly finished counter-attack by Patrik Schick in the first leg of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League play-off at Olympiacos. Referring to the meeting in the league phase and the initially squandered opportunities, coach Kasper Hjulmand said afterwards: "I thought: 'Oh no, déjà-vu.'" But after the opening goal, it took just 144 seconds for the Czech to spark more wild celebrations among those in black and red in the Greek cauldron, when Schick nodded in Alejandro Grimaldo's corner.
