
The Werkself have secured the services of a prolific new signing in Pando. The 25-year-old scored 18 goals in 30 games in the Women’s Super League last season. She also won the domestic cup competition last term. Irina made her international debut for Switzerland in January of last year.
“With Irina Pando, we have succeeded in bringing in a proven, versatile and dangerous striker. Her athleticism and assertiveness as well as her experience will breathe new life into our attacking game,” said Bayer 04 head coach Achim Feifel.

Two Saturdays, one Friday and one Sunday: The dates for the Bayer 04 Women's team games on matchdays 16 to 19 have been finalised. Three of the four matches scheduled by the German Football Association (DFB) on Tuesday will be played at home at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium.

The Werkself may have the festive season off, but four players will still be in action as they compete at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Eliesse Ben Seghir will open the 35th edition of the tournament with hosts Morocco on Sunday, 21 December.
