
On the Easter weekend in 2017 our Werkself take on the record champions from Munich at the BayArena. On Saturday 15 April 2017 football fanatics born between 2003 and 2010 can take part in our event WERKSELF FOR A DAY. The offer includes two training sessions at the Soccer CenTor, just across the road from the BayArena, a communal lunch plus a BayArena tour, a Bayer 04 T-shirt and a drinks bottle.
All participants and a parent can watch the top match between the Werkself and Bayern Munich. At 125 euros this day will be an unforgettable football experience.
Ahead of the Bundesliga match, parents and carers will have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes view of the BayArena on a guided tour for 6 euros. Use the comments field to order the optional additional offer via online application.

The timetable for the day depends on the date of the Bundesliga fixture. All participants in the special day event will receive an email with the final running order ahead of the camp.


In the second week of the Easter holidays, around 50 children taking part in activities at the Bayer 04 football school went to the BayArena on Wednesday afternoon, where they had an appointment with the two Werkself players Jonas Omlin and Montrell Culbreath for the Kids press conference. The duo took their time and answered every question the young footballers could think of - and of course the kids' requests for selfies and autographs were happily met afterwards.

Captain Robert Andrich and keeper Janis Blaswich were guests at the children's press conference organised by BarmeniaGothaer in cooperation with the Bayer 04 Löwenclub on Wednesday afternoon. In the press conference room at the BayArena, the duo, who are friends away from the pitch and in great spirits, answered the unusual questions from around 50 inquisitive young journalists and young football players - and provided plenty of laughs with a lot of humour.

A real highlight at the Bayer 04 Football School and a special, albeit early, Easter gift: The 50 or so children who took part went to the VIP area at the BayArena on Wednesday afternoon, where they had an appointment with the Werkself players Jonas Hofmann and Tim Oermann. The duo took their time and answered every question the young footballers could think of. Among other things, Hofmann explained to the youngsters why he signed for Bayer 04 in 2023, while Oermann revealed the inspiration for his jersey number 15. And of course, the children’s requests for selfies and autographs were not left unfulfilled after the Q&A session.

The Easter holidays enticed a large number of Bayer 04 fans to come to the training ground at the BayArena, today Wednesday 16 April, to watch the Werkself at an open training session in the afternoon. Afterwards, the players and head coach Xabi Alonso took time out to sign autographs and pose for photographs. And there was a lot going on besides: While midfield maestro Granit Xhaka fielded questions at an entertaining children's press conference, including the story behind his squad number 34, Nathan Tella faced the media.
