Register and do a good deed: Blood donation at the BayArena
Once again this year, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the German Red Cross (DRK) are calling for blood donations at the BayArena. Registration for the event on 3 August can be made online now.
Blood supplies worldwide are not only down due to the coronavirus pandemic. The willingness to donate is on the decline and there is a big shortage of the 'claret'. Bayer 04 have supported the DRK campaign #missingtype for several years. As in 2020 and 2021, blood donations can be made in the Premium Lounge on the second floor at the BayArena.
The day of action is on Wednesday 3 August from 15.00 CEST to 19.00 CEST and there is free car parking under the motorway in the immediate vicinity of the BayArena. Access to the stadium is via the North West entrance.

Bayer 04 mourn the loss of Peter Hermann
Peter Hermann passed away on Saturday at the age of 74. The entire Bayer 04 family is deeply saddened by the loss of a much-loved figure who helped shape football in Leverkusen over many decades. He was also one of the most respected coaches in the whole of Germany. Hermann had been suffering from ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) for some time.

As part of the Family Matchday on Sunday 20 September, not only will the Werkself take on RB Leipzig at 15:30 CEST but there will also be a variety of activity zones for young and old alike be set up around the BayArena. What’s more, genuine Bayer 04 rarities await Black and Red fans at the Fantrödel flea market. By taking part in the fan travel survey, Leverkusen supporters can help the club gather important information and even win a jersey before the Werkself hit the ground running against Leipzig on the pitch.
