The candidates hustings will be held in the Schwadbud at at 19.00 CET on 15 September and doors open at 18.00 CET. The venue demonstrates the club supports the establishment of the fan committee. It will be great if the candidates are not on their own and that as many fans as possible can find their way to the Schwadbud to get a picture of all the candidates.
The vote starts on 17 September at 13.30 CET in the Stadioneck bar and various voting booths at the stadium. Votes can also be cast at half-time at the stadium but voting after the match is only possible at the Stadioneck up to 18.30 CET.
Ballot papers can be downloaded on the website in the next few days. It will make the process much easier if as many fans as possible can print out their ballot papers beforehand and put them in the ballot boxes. The note is self-explanatory. As this is not an anonymous election, the name, the debit number (that is NOT the season ticket number but the 6 to 7 digit number on the right side of your season ticket) and/or the NK 12 membership number must be written on the ballot.
It's very important that the ballot paper is only valid where it tallies with the name and the relevant debit or NK12 number. Of course, NK12 members can only vote if they have paid their annual subscription. Otherwise the ballot paper will be invalid. That also applies to more than one ballot paper being submitted. The data entered will be used by the voting committee exclusively to determine the validity of the votes.
Everybody has at least 11 votes whereby only one vote can be cast for each candidate. The ballot paper will be invalid if there is more than one vote for a candidate or more than 11 votes are cast.
We ask all fans in our fan clubs to vote and give our elected representatives a strong mandate. Of course, you can fill in your ballot paper beforehand and give it to somebody else to submit if you are unable to attend the match.
Black and Red greetings,
One end – Your end – North end

Lying third in the Bundesliga, the Werkself made a faltering start in 2026 after the winter break, but gradually rediscovered winning ways and, as in the previous campaign, were among the top 16 in Europe and the top four in the DFB Pokal. In the Bundesliga, the Werkself also remained in the race for Champions League qualification right to the end. However, because setbacks repeatedly crept into the Werkself's performances between good displays and crucial games, it was not quite enough to secure a UCL spot in the end. A season with many ups and downs brought sixth place and qualification for the UEFA Europa League. Part II of the review of the 2025/26 season.

Following the final match of the 2025/26 season, the prevailing feeling was naturally one of disappointment after missing out on qualification for the Champions League. The Werkself finished the Bundesliga in sixth place, meaning they'll start the 2026/27 campaign in the Europa League. "But to talk negatively about everything now because of that would be wrong," stressed captain Robert Andrich following the final game, knowing that the past year at Bayer 04 was marked, more than almost any other, by the start of a new era and the courage to change – and in particular, the belief in a positive direction. Everyone was aware this process would need time. The first part of the 2025/26 season review.
