The Werkself are away to RB Leipzig on Bundesliga matchday 18. The game is on Saturday 20 January (kick-off: 18.30 CET). The Bayer 04 Fan Liaison team brings you the latest information on the match at the Red Bull Arena...

StadiUM

  • Stadium opens: 16.30 CET – Kick-off: 18.30 CET.
  • Away section between sections C and D.
  • The stadium sections B and D after the home fans. Access is accordingly only possible with home team colours or in neutral clothing.
  • The usual checks will be made on entering the stadium.
  • Breath tests are possible – persons under the influence of alcohol may be refused entry.
  • There are no storage facilities at the away section.
  • Payment for food & drink must be made in cash, or with EC or credit cards, or using your mobile phone.
  • Acquisition of a ticket assumes acceptance of the stadium regulations at the Red Bull Arena and the general terms and conditions of RB Leipzig.

travel & PARKing

Restricted area:

  • On matchdays there is a restricted area around a neighbouring residential area. Given the increased traffic, there can therefore be serious delays en route to the stadium. For that reason we urgently recommend using multi-storey car parks, park-and-ride car parks and public transport. Your match ticket entitles you to free travel on public transport operated by MDV four hours before and four hours after the game.

Travelling by coach:

  • Coach drop off Landauer Brücke/ Am Sportforum (GoogleMaps coordinates)
  • Coaches can park on ‘Cottaweg’
  • Address the navigation systems: Am Sportforum 10, 04105 Leipzig

Travelling by CAR:

  • There are no dedicated away car parks, parking at the stadium is strictly limited.
  • We recommend: Driving to the designated park-and-ride car parks at Leipziger Messe, Schönauer Ring, Plovdiver Straße, Völkerschlachtdenkmal and Lausen and then travelling to the stadium using public transport

Travelling by public transport:

  • To get to the Red Bull Arena take trams 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 15 (Stops at Sportforum Süd or Sportforum Ost)

Colleagues from the Opferhilfe Sachsen e.V. Organisation are available to our away fans on match days. If required, please get in touch with RBL fan liaison or a steward in or at the away area.

Paulo Sergio and Bayer 04 have enjoyed close ties since the Werkself training camp in his native Brazil last summer. The club legend is in charge of the Bayer 04 Soccer Academy, which opened in the summer of 2025, and he has also been at this year’s training camp in the Weimarer Land. As well as interacting with the many fans who travelled to the camp, the 1994 World Cup winner used the time to plan the next steps for the Academy together with club officials. In an interview with bayer04.de, Sergio spoke about the project’s future development, the upcoming visit by young Academy players to Leverkusen, and plans for the coming months in Germany and Brazil.
