To the appreciative applause of the Bayer 04 fans, the long-established fan clubs received well-deserved recognition when Fernando Carro presented them with official certificates and pennants as thanks for their continued loyalty.
The originator of the Leverkusen fan scene, the ‘1st Fan Club 1976’", was honoured for its 50th anniversary. The fan club ‘Lev-Szene '86’ for its 40th anniversary, while ‘Vikings Leverkusen 1996’ and ‘Die Opladener Bande’ received recognition for 30 years of loyalty. For their part, the ‘Alpenpillen’ and the ‘Bayer 04 Fanclub Berlin Schöneweide’ were delighted to be honoured on their tenth anniversary.
Bayer 04 would like to thank the fan clubs for their impressive, long-standing commitment and hopes for many more successful years together under the Cross.

Intercultural exchange: a youth team from Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso, visited Leverkusen in the last few days. The players and staff from AD DUHA FC enjoyed a varied programme including training, a friendly - and a very special experience on Saturday afternoon.

There will be a change at the top of the Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball GmbH shareholder committee at the end of the year, with Werner Wenning stepping down from the Bundesliga club's control committee on 31 December 2026. Wolfgang Nickl, who has been part of the committee since March of this year, will take over the chairmanship on 1 January 2027.
