As usual, the Leverkusen team, winners of Showdown One and semi-finalists in Showdown Four, will be aiming to make it through to the offline round against six new opponents drawn for each showdown. This will take place at the fifth and final showdown on 22 February in Stuttgart. As usual, the 16 teams with the most points out of the 35 teams in the preliminary round will advance to this round.
In the overall table, where points from all online preliminary rounds (3 per game) and offline rounds (2 per game) are totted up, the #B04eSports team are currently in eighth place. After this fifth showdown, the overall table will decide who advances to the final round of the club championship on 7/8 March (direct qualification for places 1-8, play-off round for places 9-24).
The matchday kicks off with the clash against VfL Wolfsburg. The team from Lower Saxony are currently in penultimate place in the overall table with twelve points. Only FC Nürnberg in 35th place have been weaker so far, and the Wolves have not yet made it into an offline round. In the 24 matches in the four online preliminary rounds to date, the VfL esports team have only won four times and lost 20. With a goal difference of -96, the team from Lower Saxony have the second worst goal difference in the league behind FC Nürnberg.

We continue with our next opponents from Lower Saxony. The strongest opponent in this first half of the preliminary round, at least in terms of the table, awaits at the end of the matchday. SpVgg Greuther Fürth are in 32nd place with 20 points and have also not yet been in an offline round. The club from Franconia will have to throw everything into this showdown if they want to have any chance of making the play-offs. The gap to 24th place is currently eight points. However, this goal will be very difficult for Fürth to achieve unless they win the showdown.
