
Sporting managing director Simon Rolfes said: "A home tie is obviously good for us and we want to put our first round exit from two years ago behind us against Elversberg. They have a good team, we take every opponent very seriously and we will give 100% to go as far as we can in the DFB Pokal this year."
The second round ties in the DFB Pokal will be played on 29 and 30 October. As soon as the fixture dates and details of ticket sales are available we will report that on bayer04.de.
The Round of 16 games will be played on 3/4 December. The quarter-finals are on 4/5 and 25/26 February 2025 with the semi-finals set for 1/2 April 2025. The final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin will be on 24 May 2025.
