The Black and Reds kick-off the new season with a knockout game against the fourth division side from North Rhine Westphalia one week before the Bundesliga begins. Twelve days ago, Nia Künzer drew out the team coached by Peter Bosz against the side relegated from the Bundesliga in 2007 in the first round of the DFB Cup. Alemannia finished sixth in the Regional League last season but qualified for the national cup competition by winning the Middle Rhine Cup.

The match will be played at the Tivoli Stadium in Aachen (Krefelder Straße 205, 52070 Aachen) and broadcast live on Sky.

Tickets for the game go on sale the week after next on Tuesday 9 July 2019 (Club members) and are on general sale from Thursday 11 July 2019.
