Throughout the morning, the pitch belonged to the youngest and oldest members at Bayer 04, with almost 130 children from the Lions Club and some Silver Lions showing off their skills in tournaments lasting around two and a half hours. In the end, Team Tella and Team Andrich came out on top among the Lions. This year, all participants received a personalised certificate as a memento. Team Schneider was particularly impressive in the Silver Lions' competition, ultimately winning the tournament undefeated to lift the trophy.
In the afternoon, more than 200 participants from the Teens and the Bayer 04 Club took to the pitch. As before, the focus was on having fun playing together. Over the course of three and a half hours, the 24 teams compted with great enthusiasm for the Members Kick Cup. The group stage was followed by a knockout round, Team Grimaldo won the final 3-1 after a penalty shoot-out.

There was also plenty on offer off the pitch. Many spectators enjoyed the relaxed ambiance at the stadium and created a great atmosphere by cheering loudly. In the north-west area of the BayArena, various hands-on activities such as a bouncy castle, football boxes and a measuring station for the speed of shots on goal provided additional fun for young and old alike.
The raffle, with exclusive and signed fan merchandise on offer, was also very popular. The entire proceeds of around €1,100 went to the Leverkusen Child Protection Association. Bayer 04 would like to thank all participants and visitors for their support.

A season with many ups and downs brought sixth place and qualification for the UEFA Europa League. Part II of the review of the 2025/26 season.

Following the final match of the 2025/26 season, the prevailing feeling was naturally one of disappointment after missing out on qualification for the Champions League. The Werkself finished the Bundesliga in sixth place, meaning they'll start the 2026/27 campaign in the Europa League. "But to talk negatively about everything now because of that would be wrong," stressed captain Robert Andrich following the final game, knowing that the past year at Bayer 04 was marked, more than almost any other, by the start of a new era and the courage to change – and in particular, the belief in a positive direction. Everyone was aware this process would need time. The first part of the 2025/26 season review.
