With iconic chameleon logo: Talcid is sleeve partner in DFB Pokal

Bayer 04 Leverkusen continue cooperation with proven sleeve partner Talcid in the coming DFB Pokal campaign. In the current season, the famous Bayer brand – starting with the first round tie at Baden-Württemberg Regional League side SG Sonnenhof Großaspach on Friday – will be displayed with the historic chameleon logo on the right sleeve of the Werkself players jerseys. Bayer 04 won the DFB Pokal for the first time in 1993 with that logo on their chests – Talcid was the official jersey sponsor of the Werkself from 1991 to 1995.

In the 2024/25 season, Talcid, a Bayer product for treating heartburn, was the Bayer 04 sleeve partner in the DFB Pokal for the first time. Recalling the iconic brand presence in the 1990s has gone down well with many Werkself fans – as an expression of special consideration of an historic club success.

In addition, Talcid will have comprehensive coverage at Bayer 04 Bundesliga home games on the LED perimeter hoardings at the BayArena. Joint online campaigns on Bayer 04 digital channels are also included in the terms of the contract. Talcid is now also an official partner in the Sponsors Club at the current Bundesliga runners-up. The new DFB Pokal jersey with the Talcid badge is available from today at the Bayer 04 online shop and the Bayer 04 Fanwelt at the BayArena in Leverkusen.

Vote for Tapsoba or Grimaldo as February Player of the Month now!

Video games manufacturer Electronic Arts (EA), together with the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL), has announced the six nominees for the February 2026 Bundesliga Player of the Month award. Not one, but two Werkself players are on the list in Edmond Tapsoba and Alejandro Grimaldo. Supporters of the Black-and-Reds have from now until midnight on Sunday 8 March to vote!

Opponents update: Werkself visit counter kings of the league

After the original fixture on 13 January was postponed due to weather-related structural risks to the Volksparkstadion's roof, Hamburger SV now host Bayer 04 Leverkusen this evening, Wednesday 4 March (kick-off 20:30 CET), in the rearranged Matchday 17 meeting. The German Football League (DFL) has announced the three candidates for Bundesliga ‘Rookie of the Month’ for February. Among the candidates is Werkself player Jarell Quansah. Fans of Bayer 04 can vote for their favourite on the Bundesliga app from now until Thursday, 5 March (23:59 CET).
