Harmonious end to an era: Bayer 04 and Bitburger conclude partnership

The final whistle of the current 2025/26 season marks the end of a unique partnership for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. After more than three decades of collaboration and highly eventful times, the Bundesliga football club and the private brewery Bitburger are going their separate ways.

"This is extraordinary in a business as fast-moving as professional football. We are very grateful to Bitburger for an inspiring, constructive and always reliable partnership and say goodbye with our best wishes and wonderful memories of a marvellous time together."

Thanks to more than three decades of successful cooperation, Bitburger now holds the record as the company with the longest external sponsorship commitment to Bayer 04. Among other things, the naming rights to the north stand of the BayArena gave Bitburger the position of a special partner in addition to outstanding visibility at Werkself matches. "Here's to a Bit" was a motto lived and loved in the stadium for fans, sponsors, friends and guests of Bayer 04 and not just at the BayArena.
