Andreas Hinder, head of IT at Bayer 04, said: “Our partnership with DXC presents us with a major strategic opportunity to harness the potential of digitalisation and artificial intelligence even more effectively in future for more efficient processes, modern services and new ways of engaging with fans and partners. Particularly valuable in this regard is the combination of DXC’s extensive implementation expertise and international project experience with our understanding of the specific processes, dynamics and requirements in professional football. Together, we can translate technological possibilities into tangible added value and drive forward the digital development of Bayer 04 in a sustainable manner.”
Jacqueline Fechner, managing director of CNEE at DXC Technology, added: “With the fan engagement platform, Bayer 04 is gradually transforming individual touchpoints into a personalised fan journey that is integrated into everyday life – from personalised content to digital services relating to the club. As an AI integration partner, we are drawing on our implementation experience from complex technology projects to create tangible added value for the club and for the fans.”

Under the slogan ‘Holidays without War’, 60 children from war-torn Ukraine took part in the summer camp organised by the German-Ukrainian association Blau-Gelbes Kreuz in Leverkusen and the surrounding area in August. The children aged between 10 and 14 – many of whom have lost their parents in the war – come from the Ukrainian twin towns of Leverkusen, Cologne and Monheim am Rhein: Nikopol, Dnipro and Volodymyr. Bayer 04, Bayer AG and TSV Bayer 04 supported the camp to mark its 10th anniversary, enabling even more children and young people than in previous years to spend a few carefree days’ holiday away from the war in the Rhineland.
