Sven Bender: Broken rib confirmed
As feared, Sven Bender suffered a double rib fracture in last Saturday's 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga game at FC Augsburg.
That was the outcome of a CAT scan on the Bayer 04 Leverkusen central defender performed on Monday afternoon to finally diagnose the precise nature of the injury. The injury will be treated without surgery. The return of the 28-year-old depends on the progress of his recovery.
