Matchday 16 was confirmed a few weeks ago: The Werkself are away to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Sunday 22 January (kick-off: 17.30 CET) in the first league fixture of the New Year.
That is followed three days later by a visit to VfL Bochum. The DFL has set this fixture for Wednesday 25 January with the kick-off at 20.30. The second half of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season begins on Sunday 29 January. The Werkself entertain Borussia Dortmund at the Bay Arena on matchday 18. The kick-off is at 17.30 CET.
And Bayer 04 also have a Friday night game: The Alonso team are away to FC Augsburg on Friday 3 February (kick-off: 20.30 CET).

After an early but brief setback in the form of an offside goal by Ivan Perisic for the visitors (5'), the Werkself took control and created numerous good chances in the first half. Leverkusen took a deserved lead after the break in the 65th minute through Christian Kofane. However, PSV's Ismael Saibari replied a few minutes later to level at 1-1 (72').
