
Head coach Gerardo Seoane will start the pre-season on 25 June. And the opponents for the Black and Reds in the opening game of the 2022/23 season has been announced: Lukas Hradecky and Co. will take on Borussia Dortmund. The match against BVB is followed by two home games against FC Augsburg and TSG Hoffenheim as well as an away game at Mainz 05.
The first meeting with the champions Bayern Munich is on matchday eight (30 September to 2 October). The Black and Reds are away to the DFB Cup holders RB Leipzig on matchday 12 (28 to 30 October). The derby against FC Köln is on matchday 14 (8 to 9 November).
The Bundesliga season takes an almost two month break at the end of the year due to the World Cup in Qatar (29 November to 18 December). The last match before the World Cup break is set for the weekend of 11 to 13 November. The Seoane team are at home to VfB Stuttgart.
The Bundesliga returns on 20 to 22 January 2023 after the World Cup and the ensuing winter break. The Werkself opponents are Borussia Mönchengladbach. The last game at home for Leverkusen is on the weekend of 19 to 21 May – also against Gladbach. The final game of the season for the Werkself is on 27 May 2023 away to VfL Bochum.

Eliminated ahead of the offline round: On Tuesday, 18 November, the Leverkusen console pros played the two remaining matches in the online preliminary round of showdown two. Just 11 days after their last encounter in the Bundesliga, Bayer 04 Women meet Hamburger SV again. On Sunday (15:00 CET), the two teams will be battling it out at the Volksparkstadion for a place in the DFB Cup quarter-finals. Bayer 04 Women goalkeeper Charlotte Voll has been hit by injury again. The 26-year-old suffered an acromioclavicular joint separation in her left shoulder in the latter stages of the Bundesliga match at SC Freiburg on Monday and is set to be sidelined for a number of months. She underwent successful surgery in Düsseldorf on Friday.

Like they did in the first showdown of the VBL Club Championship by WOW, which the Leverkusen gamers won in spectacular style, Marc and Sean Landwehr also started the second showdown with six points by beating TSG Hoffenheim and VfL Bochum 1848, last-16 participants of the first showdown. The #B04eSports team suffered defeat to SV Darmstadt 98 and Hertha BSC. Meanwhile, Keanu Senkbeil made his VBL CC debut in the clash with the capital club.
