Aránguiz and Sinkgraven sidelined
Bayer 04 will have to manage without Charles Aránguiz and Daley Sinkgraven in the coming weeks. Both players were injured in the Bundesliga home game against RB Leipzig on Saturday 5 October.
The Chile international Aránguiz suffered a hairline fracture in his right metatarsal as well as a muscle injury to his thigh in the closing stages of the Bundesliga game against RB Leipzig. As a result of the injuries, the midfielder will now be unavailable for the forthcoming Chile internationals against Colombia and Guinea. Aránguiz will also not be available for the Werkself in the next Bundesliga game at Eintracht Frankfurt on 18 October.
Daley Sinkgraven came off worse. The left back picked up a thigh injury in the first half of the Bundesliga top match against Leipzig. Sinkgraven had to be substituted at half-time and he is expected to be out of action for several weeks.

The Werkself secured a 1-0 win against Inter Milan earned with a battling performance and a late reward on Matchday 6 in the UEFA Champions League. The Black and Reds dominated proceedings from the start but found it difficult to penetrate the Inter Milan defence. But Leverkusen struck late with Nordi Mukiele scoring the only goal of the game (90'). The three points puts Bayer 04 second in the table.
