Aránguiz and Sinkgraven sidelined
Bayer 04 will have to manage without Charles Aránguiz and Daley Sinkgraven in the coming weeks. Both players were injured in the Bundesliga home game against RB Leipzig on Saturday 5 October.
The Chile international Aránguiz suffered a hairline fracture in his right metatarsal as well as a muscle injury to his thigh in the closing stages of the Bundesliga game against RB Leipzig. As a result of the injuries, the midfielder will now be unavailable for the forthcoming Chile internationals against Colombia and Guinea. Aránguiz will also not be available for the Werkself in the next Bundesliga game at Eintracht Frankfurt on 18 October.
Daley Sinkgraven came off worse. The left back picked up a thigh injury in the first half of the Bundesliga top match against Leipzig. Sinkgraven had to be substituted at half-time and he is expected to be out of action for several weeks.

Bayer 04 Women reach 40 points with comfortable home win over Freiburg
The Werkself returned from the near one-month break in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga with a convincing victory at home. Roberto Pätzold's side beat SC Freiburg 4-1 on Sunday afternoon, with goals from Katharina Piljic, Estrella Merino Gonzalez, Cornelia Kramer and Carlotta Wamser ensuring a 13th win of the season at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion. The Black and Reds, who are now on 40 points, move up to fourth place at least overnight.
