Interest in the Werkself in central America recently increased with the #Bayer04MexicoTour last year. Mexico is also one of the key target markets for the German Football League (DFL) who organised the watch party together with Bayer 04, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart. The two clubs from South Germany faced each other on Sunday night. All four Bundesliga clubs had their own, self-organised "Fan corner" at the watch party.
The watch party at the Beer Factory in Mexico City also included a range of media interviews with Paulo Sérgio and the other legends present with the other Bundesliga clubs and that included interviews on Sky Mexico and the Deutsche Welle, media partners of DFL. Speaking to Sky Mexico, Bayer 04 legend Paulo Sérgio also predicted a 3-0 win for the Werkself ahead of the game against Eintracht Frankfurt – and he was proved to be right.
At a press conference, Paulo Sérgio also talked in detail about his decision to join Bayer 04 and his time under the Bayer Cross saying: "Leverkusen did me as much good as all the young players from Latin America who decided to make the move to Europe and join Bayer 04. The club placed great emphasis on integrating the players and I can only say good things about Bayer 04. If you are a talented young player in Latin America aiming for a career in Europe then you have to consider Leverkusen as the first option."

The Bayer 04 legend also made himself available for photo and autograph requests from the fans and spectators at the watch party, which included a large number of employers from Bayer AG Mexico. Arturo Sanchez, president of Bayer Consumer Health Latin America, also gained an impression of the event.
Werkself head coach Xabi Alonso spoke to Sky Mexico ahead of the Bundesliga match in front of a full house at the BayArena.

From his arrival at the airport, the medical and contract signing, right through to photo shoots, his very own trading card and his first interview at the BayArena: Werkself TV followed new signing Afonso Moreira up close on his first day in Leverkusen. In the interview, the 21-year-old Portuguese left-winger, who has joined the Werkself from Lyon, talks about his excitement ahead of joining Bayer 04 and the Bundesliga, as well as his conversation with head coach Carles Martínez. Moreira also reveals the secret behind his iconic goal celebration – which he intends to perform “as often as possible” at the BayArena next season...
