The gym, running drills on the pitch and back to the gym: on Monday, the first players to return prepared for the official start of training next week. Under the guidance of the fitness staff, new signings Kennet Eichhorn and Afonso Moreira, as well as Victor Boniface, who has returned from loan, completed an intensive running programme. Goalkeeper Janis Blaswich was also on the training ground. Martin Terrier was also out on the pitch – albeit still training on his own – putting in hard work.
The first Werkself full training session on Tuesday, 14 July, will be open to the public. Fans are welcome to watch the first session of the new season. Bayer 04 will publish further information, including the time and location, via the club media channels in the coming days.
Farid Alfa-Ruprecht is going out on loan from Bayer 04 Leverkusen to Bundesliga 2 side Hertha Berlin. The pacy winger will be at the Berlin club for one year.
