Werkself to play friendly against Viktoria Köln at the Ulrich-Haberland Stadion on Wednesday

During the first international break of the season, Bayer 04 will face Viktoria Köln in a friendly match. The clash with the neighbouring third-division side will take place on Wednesday, 3 September (kick-off: 11am CEST) at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion in Leverkusen. Admission for fans is free.

While most of the Werkself players will be in action for their respective national teams in the coming days, some of Bayer 04’s new summer signings will feature on Wednesday as they get minutes under their belts.

The stadium will open to spectators one hour before kick-off from 10am, with the east and north-east sections of the UHS open. A limited range of food and drinks will be available on site, with cashless payment only. Free parking is available under the Stelzenautobahn.

'Rudi recounts…': Vollborn on September highlights

Rüdiger Vollborn has been at the club for 40 years, holds the record number of Bundesliga appearances for the club (401) and is the only Bayer 04 player to have won both the UEFA Cup (1988) and the DFB Pokal (1993).
