Werkself summer pre-season schedule

Bayer 04 ended the 2022/23 Bundesliga season in sixth place. While most of the Leverkusen squad head off for a well-deserved holiday, several Werkself players will be on the road with their national teams. And preparations for the new 2023/24 campaign are already underway. Here are the key dates for summer pre-season at the Werkself as it stands.

Key dates:

Monday 10 July: Start of training in Leverkusen

Friday 21 July: Friendly against SC Paderborn in Velbert (kick-off: 17.30 CEST)

Sunday 23 July to Friday 28 July: Training camp in Saalfelden, Austria

Saturday 29 July: Friendly against Real Sociedad in San Sebastian, Spain (kick-off: 18.00 CEST)

Wednesday, 2 August: Friendly against Olympique Marseille in Marseille, France (kick-off: 20.45 CEST)

Saturday, 5 August: Season launch and friendly against West Ham United at the BayArena (kick-off: 13.30 CEST)
