Wendell injury update
Wendell suffered severe and painful bruising to his right foot in the game against Hamburg SV. That was the result of an MRI and CT examination on Sunday morning.
It remains to be seen if the Brazilian will be fit for the Bundesliga game against Schalke 04 at the weekend. Wendell had to go off 16 minutes into the 2-1 win at Hamburg following a foul by Mavraj. The HSV defender was rightly shown a yellow card.
