With the win, Argentina have now consolidated first place in Group D on six points. Alejo Sarco is currently the top scorer with three goals. He is also the first Argentinian since Leandro Fernandez in 2003 in the United Arab Emirates to score three goals in the first two games at a U20 World Cup finals.
Sarco and Co. will continue their campaign with a game against Italy kicking off at 01:00 CEST Saturday night. The Argentinians will face Andrea Natali, who is currently on loan from Bayer 04 at AZ Alkmaar. Natali and Italy, for their part, drew 2-2 with Cuba on matchday 2. The 17-year-old, who played the entire game, netted the opener.
