The injury to the Dutchman, who joined the Werkself from Manchester United during the winter transfer window, requires an operation. Following that, Fosu-Mensah will complete his rehab at the Leverkusen 'Werkstatt'.

Vollborn now works under the Bayer Cross as a fan liaison officer and club archivist.
