Tin Jedvaj in Croatia World Cup squad

Tin Jedvaj joins Julian Brandt (Germany) as the next Bayer 04 pro chosen to be at the World Cup finals in Russia (15 June to 14 July). The 22-year-old defender has been named in the official 23-man squad for his home country Croatia.

The Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic dropped Matej Mitrovic (FC Brügge) on Monday as the last man from the preliminary squad, which was reduced to 24 players two weeks ago. Jedvaj, with eleven full international caps to date, is one four Bundesliga players with Croatia at the World Cup in Russia alongside Andrej Kramaric (1899 Hoffenheim), Ante Rebic (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Marko Pjaca (Schalke 04; on loan).

Croatia are in Group D at the World Cup along with Argentina, newcomers Iceland and Nigeria. Croatia play World Cup participants Senegal in a friendly on 8 June.

Inclusion, community and first team autographs: Day of action for women and girls with disabilities
