Three-match ban for Bailey

Bayer 04 will have to manage without Leon Bailey for the next three Bundesliga fixtures. The sports tribunal of the German Football Association (DFB) announced their decision on Monday afternoon. The 22-year-old was also fined 20,000 euros.

Bailey was sent off for violent conduct 77 minutes into Saturday's away game at FC Köln and is now unavailable for the home game against Hertha Berlin on Wednesday night (18 December, 18:30 CET), the last game before the winter break at FSV Mainz 05 (Saturday 21 December, 15:30 CET) and the opening game in the second half of the season at SC Paderborn in the New Year (Sunday 19 January, 18.00 CET). Bayer 04 have accepted the outcome of the disciplinary hearing.
