Inspired by Leverkusen’s global reputation as the ‘City of Colours’, a vibrant ‘Terrarium’ shade forms the basis of the design, over which flowing, marbled graphics in ‘Light Surf’, ‘Faded Teal’ and ‘Deep Sea’ extend from the shoulders down to the sleeves. Highlights in white and ‘Deep Black Iris’ provide contrast and texture with subtle cross details incorporated into the design – a nod to the Bayer Cross as an integral part of the club’s identity.
A particular highlight is the customised shoulder design on all away kits: The pattern varies slightly on each jersey, making every kit truly one of a kind. The kit colours have a direct link to Bayer AG, as they were developed in the company’s laboratories – the sleeve pattern symbolises chemical reactions. This connection is highlighted in the kit video, where our players explore the formula for success. The embroidered New Balance logo on the right and the Bayer 04 logo on the left of the chest combine with the distinctive lettering of main sponsor BarmeniaGothaer to form a harmonious whole. An authenticity label on the straight hem completes the design.

“The vibrant blue colour palette and the marbled graphics are inspired by Bayer’s history of innovation, as well as the colours and patterns that emerged from this work,” said Markus Breglec, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer at Bayer 04 Leverkusen. “This connection has earned Leverkusen the nickname ‘City of Colours’, and this kit brings that history to life in a modern and distinctive way, as we have never done before.”
On a functional level, New Balance has incorporated innovative technology into the new Bayer 04 new away kit. Crafted from lightweight technical fabric with integrated zone-specific panels and zonal mesh, the design maximises breathability and freedom of movement to meet the demands of modern football.

The new away jersey is available in children’s sizes (JS–JXL) for €69.90 and in adult sizes (S–5XL) for €94.90. The women’s jeresy is also available in sizes S–2XL for €94.90.
For all fans wanting to wear the same design as the Werkself, there is also the Elite version – identical to the kit the team will wear during the 2026/27 campaign. The Elite jersey is available in sizes S–3XL for €139.90.
Club members benefit from attractive discounts: There is a ten per cent discount on all new jerseys. And particularly good value for families; during the 2026/27 season, Club members can get all children’s shirts and mini kits at the special price of just €49.90 – saving up to €25 compared to the full retail price.
Of course, you can have custom printing on the jersey with the name and number of your favourite player, or with an individual print. The official Werkself printing (men’s and women’s teams), as well as the honorary captains’ printing, is available for €19.90, and custom printing costs €24.90. Club members also save on printing: not only do they receive a standard 10 per cent discount, but for children’s shirts, the printing costs members just €10.
The replica shirts are made from 100 per cent recycled polyester. The Elite jersey features a high-quality blend of 60% recycled polyester, 37% polyester and 3% elastane, and stands out with its high level of comfort and maximum functionality during sporting activities.
