Fernando Carro, Bayer 04 CEO, said: "Bayer 04 is a keen advocate of vaccination against Covid-19. We have provided comprehensive information on the subject to our members of staff including players, recommended vaccination and also made appropriate provision. And even though this decision has been made by each individual person: In our view, vaccination is the decisive key to overcoming this pandemic."

And sporting managing director Rudi Völler declared: "It applies to football and to our society in general that there will only be a certain form of normality if as many people as possible are convinced to have a vaccination. Anybody who is not prepared to accept this form of social solidarity must accept the possible consequences. Get vaccinated – that's the only way."

Bayer 04 has put together all significant information for the home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach:

Access to the stadium
Season ticket holders can attend the first home game of the season providing they can demonstrate they are fully vaccinated against coronavirus or have fully recovered from the coronavirus infection. Tickets not taken up will be offered as matchday tickets as part of a "club sale" (more detailed information will follow shortly).

Exception 1 – Children and teenagers
In accordance with the current N RW coronavirus protection order, Bayer 04 may allow access of up to 1000 people as part of the whole allocation who are not vaccinated or recovered. These spectators must however provide proof of a negative coronavirus antigen test. Bayer 04 has decided to make this allocation exclusively available to children and teenagers (between 04 and 19 years of age) amongst season ticket holders.

Exception 2 – Transfer of season ticket
Season ticket holders, who have not been fully vaccinated and cannot produce proof of recovery, have the possibility of transferring their ticket to family members, friends or acquaintances. It should be noted here that the tickets can only go to the fully vaccinated or recovered. Season ticket holders who cannot or would not use their tickets can have a break in accordance with the ruling from the 2020/21 season at no extra cost.

No matchday tickets and away fans
Ticket offices will not be open on matchday. Away fans are not permitted at the first home game.

Digital tickets only
Tickets for the first matchday will only be available digitally. They will be dispatched in the week before the match.

Seats allocated according to 'chessboard' principle
The usual seat of the season ticket holder cannot be guaranteed because of the chessboard seating principle.

Payment
Season ticket holders will pay one seventeenth of their season ticket price.
