The sporting highlight is the friendly against the historic Italian club Pisa, which for organisational reasons will take place on a Tuesday evening. SC returned to the top Italian tier in May under coach Filippo Inzaghi after 34 years. In his video analyses, the former world champion was inspired by clips from the Werkself's 2023/24 double-winning season, as he revealed after his side were promoted. Inzaghi resigned from his post in the summer and was succeeded by former Italy international Alberto Gilardino.

Programme information - tickets from 8 July

Visitors to the stadium can look forward to a varied programme for young and old at the season opener from 15:00 CEST. Various game modules and hands-on activities will be set up all around the BayArena and there will also be an autograph session with the women's Bundesliga squad before the friendly in the evening. After the final whistle, players will hand out signed merchandise to fans.

Tickets for the season opener will be available to Bayer 04 Club members from Tuesday, 8 July (12:00 CEST). Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, 9 July (12:00 CEST). All further information on ticket sales will follow via the club's own channels.
