‘Rudi recounts’…: Vollborn on October highlights

Rüdiger Vollborn has been at the club for nearly 40 years, he has the record number of Bundesliga appearances for the club (401) and is the only Bayer 04 player to have won both the UEFA Cup (1988) and the DFB Cup (1993). And the Berliner stayed with the Werkself after ending his impressive playing career as he worked as a goalkeeping coach for the following nine years. Vollborn now works under the Bayer Cross as a fan liaison officer and club archivist. From February 2021, the personalised Black and Red lexicon takes Werkself fans under the heading of 'Rudi recounts...' on a brief trip through the history of Bayer 04 every month...

Vollborn looks back at goals, matches, personalities and stories away from the pitch from the Bayer 04 club history. For the month of October, the Leverkusen legend brings fans closer to the sensational 1967/68 season.

The 26-year-old suffered an acromioclavicular joint separation in her left shoulder in the latter stages of the Bundesliga match at SC Freiburg on Monday and is set to be sidelined for a number of months. On their way to the offline round, to be held at the second showdown in Frankfurt am Main on 23 November, six opponents await in the online preliminary round. 'Great feeling': Returnee Terrier looking forward with ambition

Optimistic, energetic and back in rhythm: Martin Terrier made his comeback from a ninth-month injury lay-off around three and a half weeks ago. The Frenchman spoke to the media after training on Tuesday about his return in front of the fans at the BayArena and his period on the sidelines. The 28-year-old forward also discussed coach Kasper Hjulmand and the weeks ahead until the end of the year, which he's looking forward to with much ambition and anticipation.
